Membership Cancellation

How to cancel your membership, notice period, and what happens to your access.

Notice Period

All cancellations require a minimum of 4 weeks' (28 days') written notice. Notice must be submitted in writing by email to membership@foundrybedford.fit or by completing a cancellation form at the Facility reception (including this online form). Verbal notice will not be accepted.

Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the 4-week notice period, and your final payment will fall due during or at the close of that period.

How to Cancel

To cancel your membership, you must:

  • Submit written notice by email or cancellation form (details above).
  • Include your full name, membership number or registered email address, and your intended final date of membership.
  • Ensure written confirmation of receipt is obtained from us. If you do not receive confirmation within 3 working days, please contact us directly.
  • We will acknowledge your cancellation in writing within 3 working days of receiving valid notice.

Early Cancellation During Minimum Term

You may cancel your membership during the Minimum Term without penalty only in the following circumstances:

  • You are diagnosed with a long-term illness or injury that prevents you from participating in exercise, evidenced by a letter from a qualified medical professional.
  • You are made redundant or experience a significant change in financial circumstances, evidenced by appropriate documentation.
  • You permanently relocate to an address more than 15 miles from the Facility, evidenced by proof of a new address.
  • We make a material change to these Terms or the Facility that significantly and adversely affects your membership.

In all other circumstances, you will remain liable for all payments due until the end of the Minimum Term.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or terminate your membership at any time with immediate effect if:

  • You breach these Terms, including but not limited to non-payment, misconduct, or repeated failure to comply with Facility rules.
  • Your continued presence at the Facility poses a risk to the safety or wellbeing of staff or other members.

Where possible and appropriate, we will provide written notice of termination with reasons. In cases of serious misconduct, no refund of unused membership fees will be issued.
