The Athlete Path is Foundry Bedford's dedicated competitive programme for members who want to take their training further. Structured, intentional, and built around you — from your first competition to your best one yet.

You train hard. But training hard isn't the same as training smart.

The Athlete Path is for the member who wants more than the daily WOD — who has a competition on the calendar, a standard to chase, or a version of themselves they haven't reached yet. It's a structured performance programme designed around what it actually takes to compete: not just fitness, but readiness.

We'll take care of the programming. You bring the work.

What's included

Competition Programming

Purpose-built training designed to develop the attributes that matter in competition — engine, strength, skill under fatigue, and mental durability. Not random hard work. Deliberate, periodised programming with a clear direction.

Peaking for Events

Whether you're stepping on the floor at a local throwdown or pushing for a qualifier, we programme backwards from your target events. That means hitting your best when it counts — not being smashed two weeks out.

Nutrition Guidance

Fuelling for performance is a skill. We'll help you understand how to eat to train, recover, and compete — practical, sustainable guidance that works alongside your life and your goals.

Gymnastics & Skills Development

Handstands, bar muscle-ups, rope climbs, ring work. The skills that separate athletes on the leaderboard. We'll break them down, build the foundations, and systematically develop your capacity across the full gymnastics spectrum.

Prehab & Rehab Support

Staying healthy is part of performing. We'll incorporate targeted prehab work into your programme to protect the areas that take the most load, and support you through the management of niggles and minor setbacks so they don't become major ones.

Recovery Protocols

Training is only as good as your ability to recover from it. We'll guide you on sleep, mobility, stress management, and the practical recovery habits that allow you to sustain high output week after week.
